Join me, Rosie, for online journalling sessions on Sunday evenings throughout August
2nd, 9th & 16th August at 7.00pm, UK time.
These free online sessions are be an opportunity to write in the company of people who experience emotions that feel overwhelming, relational sensitivity and the challenges of living in a world that doesn't always understand your needs (or recognise your strengths).
Each session includes a handful of reflective journalling prompts to help you explore your thoughts, feelings and needs. The prompts are always optional, so if one doesn't feel right for you, there's no pressure to respond. There is also never any expectation to share what you've written either.
Whether you're new to journalling or have been writing for years, you will be very welcome. Sometimes the chance to be in the company of people who have similar kinds of experiences to you can be comforting in itself.
All you will need to bring is something to write with and maybe a cup of tea!
These will be held via Google Meet (video call).
They are completely free. If you would like to support me and are able to, the best way to do this would be through purchasing my book.
Each session lasts around 45 minutes.
Please note, I understand that journalling is not right for everyone at all moments. Sometimes journalling can feel overwhelming eg: during times of crisis, panic attacks or intense distress. If you think journalling might be distressing, instead take some time to do something different that will be supportive for you. Before we begin, I will ask everyone to make a brief plan about what they will do if they start to feel overwhelmed at any point. I'm speaking from personal experience: journalling helps me immensely, but only at the right time for me.
Please send me an email, rosie@talkingaboutbpd.co.uk, if you would like to join and I will send you the link. Cameras are optional, mics will be turned off and sessions will not be recorded. The chat function will be open, if you want to use it to respond to anything.
I look forward to writing alongside some of you soon.
