'I’m still exploring what it's like to be open with different people in different contexts': My Interview for Half Baked Collective

I recently enjoyed being interviewed by Abigial Brown from Half Baked Mental Health Collective on Substack. I shared how stigma affected my confidence to speak openly, why writing is important to me and the immense shame that is very common amongst people with the BPD diagnosis. You can read the full interview here.

Over time, through writing, speaking, creativity, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and other therapies, I unraveled those threads. I examined each of them and how they interconnect. I explored different ways of navigating the world, particularly socially and relationally. It’s something I continue to explore today. Questions like: How much can I share and with whom? How can I tell a story that might feel difficult to the listener or me? How might I be viewed in certain settings if people know about different aspects of my lived experiences?

Thank you so much to Half Baked Mental Health Collective for giving me the opportunity to share things that feel really important to me.
